It has been a year since India ended their 17-year T20 World Cup title drought with a thrilling victory against South Africa at Kensington Oval.

The final match was a nail-biter that went down to the wire, with India holding their composure to secure the championship. The win marked the culmination of an undefeated campaign, where India showcased their dominance, resilience, and strong character.

A significant moment was the high-stakes clash between India and Pakistan earlier in the tournament.

Rohit reminisced, "It wasn’t just a game. Two days before the match, we were locked in — tight security, fans everywhere, you could feel something special was coming. It felt like a festival had taken over.”

In a tense, low-scoring affair, India prevailed over Pakistan by six runs. Jasprit Bumrah was named Player of the Match for his exceptional performance of 3 for 14.

Despite an early batting collapse where India quickly lost Kohli, Rohit, and Axar, Rishabh Pant's aggressive 42 off 31 balls stabilized the innings, guiding India to a total of 119.

Rohit noted, "On that pitch, his 42 was like scoring 70. We knew 140 was par, but with our bowlers, even 119 could work.”

He also praised Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh for their effective execution of the game plan. "Bumrah is a weapon — he takes wickets and dries up runs. Arshdeep’s been brilliant too, and they were crucial in pushing the game in our favour.”

From the electrifying atmosphere of the India-Pakistan match to the tense final in Barbados, Rohit’s reflection celebrates a team that provided unforgettable moments for the nation.
