Jannik Sinner and Coco Gauff will be major attractions on Day 9 of the US Open, as big names look to secure their spots in the quarter-finals. Sinner will face 23rd seed Alexander Bublik in the evening session, while Gauff will take on former champion Naomi Osaka in what promises to be a blockbuster fourth-round clash in the afternoon. Iga Swiatek Ekaterina Alexandrova in the Louis Amstrong Stadium.

India’s Yuki Bhambri and his New Zealand partner Michael Venus will be in action in the men's doubles second round. The 14th seeds will go up against seasoned campaigners Gonzalo Escobar and Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela.
The opening match at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Monday will see Felix Auger-Aliassime face Andrey Rublev. Though Felix is the lower-ranked player, the Canadian comes into the clash on the back of a stunning third-round win over third seed Alexander Zverev. After a few difficult seasons on tour, Felix has been steadily rebuilding his form this year, and a run to the quarter-finals would provide a significant confidence boost.
Gauff will meet Osaka at the US Open for the first time since 2019. Back then, a 15-year-old Gauff was comfortably outclassed by the defending champion. She avenged that defeat months later at the Australian Open, signalling her rise as a major talent on the women’s singles tour.
Now a double Grand Slam winner, Gauff faces an Osaka who is gradually regaining her top form following a 16-month maternity break. Their rematch in New York promises to be a fascinating clash between a young star at the peak of her powers and a champion returning to her best.
"I remember just knowing that she was going to be a really great player, which I was right," Japan's Osaka said about their first match.
"She's like the main star of the U.S. Open."
