For 18-year-old Davina Perrin, August 30 turned into a landmark day as she smashed the fastest century by an English woman in T20 cricket. The young batter achieved the feat in the Eliminator of the Women’s Hundred on Saturday, playing for the Northern Superchargers against London Spirit at the Kennington Oval in London.
Put in to bat first, Perrin reached her fifty off 25 balls before accelerating to a blistering hundred from just 42 deliveries. She eventually made 101 off 43 balls, striking 15 fours and five sixes, before being run out by Charli Knott.
In the process, Perrin became only the second player after Tammy Beaumont to score a century in the Women’s Hundred. Her innings was also the second-fastest hundred in the tournament’s history, men’s or women’s, behind Harry Brook’s 41-ball effort in 2023.
Perrin’s brilliance powered the Superchargers to a commanding 214 for five. In reply, Spirit could only muster 172 for nine, despite Georgia Redmayne’s quickfire 29-ball fifty. The Superchargers sealed victory by 42 runs, with Perrin deservedly named Player of the Match.
The teenager has also enjoyed a consistent season, sitting fourth on the run-scorers’ list in the ongoing edition with 243 runs from nine matches at a strike rate of 139.65.
Davina Perrin emerged as England’s leading performer at the U19 Women’s T20 World Cup in Malaysia in early 2025. Across five innings, she compiled 176 runs, finishing as England’s top scorer and the tournament’s second-highest run-getter, averaging 35.20 with a strike rate of 135.38.

Her standout knock came against the USA, where she smashed 74 off 45 balls, peppered with nine fours and three sixes. Striking at 164.44, she dominated the attack and was rightly named Player of the Match.
In the semi-final against India, Perrin showed her composure once more, making 45 off 40 deliveries at a rate of 112.5. With England collapsing from 81/2 to 92/8, her innings provided rare stability.
Crucially, she registered runs in every outing, underscoring her reliability. That consistency, along with her match-winning impact, secured Perrin a deserved spot in the Team of the Tournament.
