In a rare occurrence, Sahibzada Farhan became the first Pakistan batter to hit Jasprit Bumrah for a six in T20Is, smashing the India pacer twice over the ropes during the Asia Cup Group A clash in Dubai on Sunday.
Bumrah had bowled 92 deliveries across five T20Is against Pakistan without conceding a six, a streak that ended in the fourth over of Pakistan's innings. Facing a good length delivery angled in, Farhan held his base and fired it over long-on, sending the ball into the crowd.

With Farhan nailing the connection to perfection, the crowd lit up in celebration. The second blow came in the sixth over, when Farhan pulled a short-of-length 133 kph delivery upwards and outside the boundary, sending a strong message despite his team losing early wickets.
The double strike etched Farhan into the record books as only the sixth batter overall to hit multiple sixes off Bumrah in T20Is. None have previously managed more than two against India’s death-overs specialist.

The match had begun in dramatic fashion with Hardik Pandya making an immediate impact. After starting with a wide, he dismissed opener Saim Ayub with his very first legitimate delivery. Pandya drew Ayub into a loose drive that went straight to Bumrah at point.

While Pandya’s early breakthrough gave India the perfect start, the spotlight then momentarily shifted to Farhan’s counterattack, as he achieved what no Pakistan batter had done before, by clearing Bumrah over the boundary in a T20I match.
